Dear All,
I’d like to announce that this Friday (29 May), the seminar will be given by a member of our Institute, Ms Anna Walczak. The title of the seminar is “Microevolutionary Changes in the Human Facial Skeleton from Medieval to Modern Times.” Due to a safety drill, the seminar will begin at 9:30 a.m. (Small Auditorium).
On the same day, at 10:00 a.m., same room, immediately following Anna’s presentation, there will be another seminar hosted by Sylwia Łukasik, featuring Dorota Żabnicka: “New Perspectives on Subadult Decedents Using a Multivariate Lens.”
A short note about our guest: Dorota Żabnicka is a doctoral student pursuing a Ph.D. in anthropology (University of Nevada, USA). Her focus lies in biological anthropology, studying subadult decedents through their skeletal remains. In her Ph.D. project, Dorota aims to extend knowledge of subadult skeletal variation, factors affecting skeletal growth, and skeletal plasticity.
The seminars should conclude around 10:30–10:45 a.m., so we will finish before the drill beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Best regards,
Julia E. Wahl
